I never had a problem with getting acne on my face until after my son was born. I put it down to hormonal changes as the cause.
Well having never had it on my face before I found I really couldn't stand it and scrubbing often with just soap and water wasn't doing much.
So I decided to try something a little stronger and selected Oxy Balance Cleansing Pads thinking that would have to help.
Well I was sorely disappointed. It didn't change anything. I followed the instructions on the package which state:
Cleanse skin thoroughly before applying. Use a cleansing pad to cover the affected area 1 to 3 times daily
Well I have done all that now for three months and have not seen the slightest change.
Some other things that I never liked about this product is the smell. I am sorry but it is one of the worst odors I have ever smelled.
They also warn on the package that this product may cause excessive dryness of the skin and irritation. Hmm, no real surprise there since the main ingredient is an acid. I guess they expect to just burn the pimples away?
I had neither a problem though with irritation or excessive dryness. Just a problem with this products lack of effect at solving my problem.
I couldn't really recommend this product to anyone based on my experience with it. I certainly won't be purchasing this product again.
Also, since it has a warning on the package to Keep out of reach of children and If ingested, contact a Poison Control Center and/or get medical help right away I will just throw it out.
I guess I will just wait it out and maybe my skin will return to normal in time. *grin* After this experience I am not willing to try another brand even if I could review it.
