You know how when you serve cucumbers with dip, the dip always slides off the cucumber slices because, for the most part, cucumbers are quite slimey. Cut with a knife, you are leaving a flat surface of slime for the dip to slide off of...right?
Well...picture this. You use your Pampered Chef Crinkle Cutter to slice your cucumbers (or zucchini, or squash) and THEN serve those veggies with dip. The dip will cling to the crinkle-cut ridges in your slices of cucumber/zucchini or squash. How cool is that?? Not to mention - the attractive presentation is always a plus.
The Pampered Chef Crinkle Cutter is about 8" wide with a crinkle/zig-zag sharp curved blade. It comes with a plastic protective storage sleeve so that you won't lose a finger when reaching into the drawer for it. It is stainless steel so it won't rust and it can stand up to many washings in your dishwasher. It is guaranteed for three years (please be sure to save your receipt to make returns or exchanges easier). It has a great ergonomic handle - this is important because if you are slicing lots of veggies for a stir fry, you don't want your hand to get tired. There are times when it is ok for one's hand to tire...when using a sharp cutting implement...that is not a good time for tired hands.
Not only is is a great tool for garnishing your vegetables - you can also use it to slice soft cheeses, to cut fresh herbs, or to slice the crusts off of your childrens' sandwiches...or heck, make little tea sandwiches for your brunch parties using the decorative Crinkle Cutter! The possibilities are endless! A simple rocking motion and you've got yourself the presentation of a gourmet chef! This rocking motion also makes it a super cutting tool for those with arthritis!!
The Pampered Chef Crinkle Cutter is very reasonably priced at only $10. You can buy one by going to a Pampered Chef cooking show, by contacting your favorite Pampered Chef consultant (if you don't have a consultant, you can find one by visiting the website at www.pamperedchef.com or calling them at 1-888-OUR-CHEF).
