| johnr55's Full Review: Panasonic KX-TG2432 2.4 GHz Twin 1-Line Cordless P... |
I have done a review of my other Cordless Panasonic. I have an office phone line in my home also, and bought this set for that line. The line actually comes in the utility room in my house, far away from my home office, so the base sits in that room and the remote charger and the second cordless receiver are in the office.
The base for this Panasonic is half the size of my other one, as this base doesn't have a speaker phone. However, both of the cordless receivers do, so I don't consider it a drawback at all.
I have found the sound quality on this Panasonic set just as good as my other one. I seldom hold the receiver to my hear to talk, as I live alone and get a lot of calls. For others who might want to do the same, I find that it works perfectly sitting on the desk as a speaker phone while I work on this laptop at the same time.
I often do conference calls lasting 1-2 hours, so having two sets is a real advantage; if one runs down I just pluck the other one. Battery life has been excellent for the six months I've owned this set.
As with the other Panasonic I own, speed dialing is a real pain and I simply don't use it. If you are slow on the fingers and want that feature, study the instructions before buying!
Other than that, the Panasonic reputation for quality and reliability shines through with this set. I've been buying their products for over 30 years and haven't been burned yet. Recommended for any home, and a good price, too!
