| acongojada's Full Review: Philosophy Kiss Me Very Emollient Lip Balm Red |
I am addicted to makeup. I am a sucker for anything that's new and claims to do the impossible. "Makes you skin look 100% smoother in just a week" is just one of the many marketing tools that have made me say "I 'll just go ahead and try it".
All kinds of makeup, including lip products are my weakness. I could open up my own trendy cosmetic shop right in my bathroom! When I saw Philosophy's Kiss Me Red Lip Balm, I was forced to order it by my evil makeup addicted invisible friend. :)
Ok, here's the quick lowdown. First, the color of the product is a great looking blue undertone red. The kind of red that looks like it would look good on anyone. Not clown red, not "hello, I'm a hooker" red, just a nice transparent-ish red.
When I put it on it made my pale lips look light pink and natural. I call this a "better than your real lips color, but looks natural" tint. It smell delicious, just like oranges and no nasty taste, maybe just a little sweet.
It was great in every way!! Loved it! Wait, oops, 10 minutes went by and it was gone. Nope, I didn't eat it off my lips, it didn't taste that good! hmmm? So I put on some more. 10 minutes later... put on some more...
I could go on but every ten minutes or so, re applying was needed. And my lips didn't feel any less dry with each application.
So, all in all, if you are the kind of woman who has time to apply lip gloss every 15 minutes or so, you might like this stuff. If you don't have that kind of time on your hands, you might want to try another product.
Darn it, I really liked this one too!
