Pros: Great value, good control, and this ball likes to spin!
Cons: A little help with the distance would be nice but you can't have it all.
The Bottom Line: Price can't be beat. Good control and very good spin. Can't go wrong with these golf balls.

| rice75's Full Review: Pinnacle Gold Spin |
Golf is an expensive hobby. After spending hundreds of dollars on a nice set of clubs, a hundred dollars on a nice bag, and another seventy-five for a nice pair of golf shoes, the last thing you want to do is spend big money on golf balls. Especially if you’re just getting started with the game because your probably going to be hitting a lot of those expensive balls either into the woods or in a lake. While it’s true that some of the higher end (read: expensive) golf balls make a difference, a good golf ball can be had a reasonable price. The Pinnacle Gold Spin is one such ball.
For roughly a dollar a ball, the Pinnacle Gold Spin is a great value, but is it a good ball? In my opinion, pound for pound (or dollar for dollar), the Pinnacle Gold Spin is a good ball at a great price. I’ve always had Pinnacle golf balls in my bag and the Pinnacle Gold Spin is one of my favorites.
Distance
While there are balls on the market that will make a difference off the tee, the Pinnacle Gold Spin isn’t one of them. I haven’t seen any improvement in my drive distance, which is where I derive the most pleasure from the game. But that’s okay because my drives are consistent and straight. While the Pinnacle Gold Spin doesn’t give an advantage in this category it certainly doesn’t hurt it, either.
Accuracy
Accuracy and control are the name of the game with the Pinnacle Gold Spin. The feel off the club is solid and the ability to have consistent accuracy from the drive to your short irons makes a big difference. The only time I have bad shots are my own fault. The Pinnacle Gold Spin gets high marks for accuracy.
Spin
It is called the ”Gold Spin”, right? Of course this ball has spin! It will stick softly to the greens while at the same time give you some run after the landing. With a nice wedge chip shot or a nice high nine-iron, you can expect the ball to grab the green and run. I like that a lot!
Putting
Nothing special here, but the ball is easy to putt and rolls just as well as any other round white ball with dimples.
Durability
Since the ball is cheap, it really doesn’t matter how durable the ball is, but what is really cool about the Pinnacle Gold Spin is that they have a “Cut-Proof Durability” promise that says that if your Pinnacle Gold Spin is cut during normal play, they will replace each ball with three new Pinnacle Gold Spin balls free of charge. You can’t beat that!
I really like my Pinnacle Gold Spin golf balls. They have a great feel off the club and they can spin with the best of them. The Pinnacle Gold Spin is a great value. These balls are great in anyone’s bag, from beginners up to scratch golfers.
