| dafetz's Full Review: Pioneer DV-440 DVD Player |
If you've looked at the features of the unit and they suit your needs, this is an outstanding unit. It's playback is very solid. It has the feel of a well-built product. The small size will help it fit in areas already holding a VCR. The unit is very quiet when reading discs. When playing a .mp3 encoded disc, it switches between tracks quickly. Not the cheapest when compared to some other DVD players with similar features, but I have no worries about quality or durability with this unit. I've even recommended this unit to my mother when she wanted a DVD player. She is as happy with this player as I am. The only thing that could even remotely be seen as a downside with this unit is that the remote is not as simple to use as with some other units, since there are many buttons and they are relatively small.
