| magplaid's Full Review: Pioneer VSX-D411 5.1 Channels Receiver |
I purchased this unit because I had an older Pioneer stereo receiver that was only playing out of one channel, so I decided to go ahead and get a new unit. After testing out many units at different places I decided to go ahead and go for the 5.1 dolby digital receivers for future upgrades. I love Pioneers electronics so I decided to go for this over the JVC and Kenwood of the same price. When I got home I hooked it up to my dvd player through optical digital input and I was totally blown away by the sound quality this thing has, so much more than the Pioneer I had before. Right now I have it only hooked up to two speakers in stereo but it was such a breeze to hook up, anyone could do it. I haven't really had a chance to test out the 5.1 aspects of this receiver yet, as I am purchasing more speakers, but its got Dolby ProLogic 2 and very cool 5 channel stereo mode that allows you to play stereo music or movies through all 5 of your speakers. The remote is a bit hard to get used to with it's small buttons, but it doesn't take away from the greatness of this unit. Go and test out some receivers today and see the clarity of this unit, well worth it's price.
