I work for a pool company in Louisville , KY. The following reflects my experience with the reviewed product.

The Polaris360 is NOT a cheap pool vac - but then again –
The 360 is , according to Polaris , “ the most advanced pool cleaner made” They state that its most advanced feature is “letting you forget about it “ . While I agree that Polaris makes some of the best pool cleaners available , I would add that you still have to do some pool maintenence yourself . No pool cleaner that I’ve reviewed ( and there have been a few ) cleans the pool 100% . Polaris is no exception ; but used correctly – it can and will do 95 % of the work for you .
The facts :
The 360 comes in standard white and in a “Black Max” for dark bottomed pools.
The 360 does not need a special booster pump .
It vacuums , scrubs , and sweeps the walls and bottom in any size or shaped in-ground pool – including gunite, fiberglass, and my favorite – vinyl-lined.
It has an in-line backup valve , so if it gets “stuck” it will automatically back up and free itself .
It has a large opening in the bottom so it can pick up things like twirlybirds , acorns , pebbles, leaves, etc…
The 360 is a pressure cleaner – meaning it is powered by a return ( or a specifically designated return “fitting” ) instead of a skimmer . Debris is forced into the filter bag instead of your pool filter – meaning your filter accumulates less foreign matter and requires less cleaning . ( Per Polaris – up to 80%) less cleaning = less wear and tear = longer filter , pump & motor life.
It comes with a 1-year warranty on defects in workmanship , which is extended by one year IF the Owner fills out the registration card and sends it in .
There are only 4 ways to keep your pool cleaned that I am aware of :
1.) You or your spouse/ companion does it .
2.) You make your kids do it .
3.) You pay someone to do it .
4.) You buy a pool sweep .
The surest way to keep your pool clean is to buy the best pool sweep you can afford , and spend about 20 minutes each week checking you pool chemistry and brushing the steps and waterline .
The 360 is probably one of the 3 best post-installation pool cleaners available .
