i_like_donkeys's Full Review: Pump up the Valuum by NOFX
After being around for awhile, NOFX is pretty good at this album thing. NOFX is one of the best live bands, and they can make anyone smile. Fat Wreck is doing fine and so are my favorite guys. This album is great, still bashing MTV and radio play but the drug thing has gotten out of hand. I love NOFX's use of their full potential but they need some common sense. Drugs are the last thing you should write about because of the ways they affect your body. They do stand for no Strait Edge(no drugs sex etc.)but why would you want to write about some plant that makes your see your grandma in a Florida even though shes dead? I think Timmy and Mike could spend a little more time making fun of Sum 41 than singing about throwing beer bottles to the ground. Some of the songs have awesome meaning like "What's The Matter With Parents Today?" and "Dinosaurs Will Die" but "Drugs Are Good" is a prime example of time wasted on dumb songs that could turn an album more revolutionary than NOFX is today.
