Qualcomm pdQ Smartphone
The smartphone looks like a big honkin' digital phone. That's because it packs a Palm III. Browse any web site. Get/send POP mail. Keep expenses. Make notes, beam, and synchronize with your computer.
Bricklike?. Not as big as three or even two devices. Because it laughs at this weeks flavor of WAP or clipping, it will work next year! You won't mind the $800 list. Use Sprint PCS instead of $40/mo for wireless OmniSky access plus the $300 modem, plus a $329 palm V, plus a phone, and a phone bill. Get one before you are subjected to non-stop mobile ads on a postage-sized phone display. Nothing can compete with this device's feature set!
I've carried around a Nokia 6100 series and a Minstrel/OmniSky equiped Palm V for a while. The Palm V display is better and OmniSky's mail client allows for more POP mail accounts. In the long run (over 6 mos) the wireless internet access ($40/mo) on top of your cell phone bill will burn you. With Sprint PCS your www access is phone minutes. Support this phone and next year someone will license it, improve it and shrink it. Its not as heavy as it looks. If you have been using a Palm, its time to grow up!
