| gregfokker's Full Review: Revlon Outrageous Daily Beautifying Shampoo |
I bought Revlon Outrageous Daily Beautifying Shampoo because it was on sale at the local drugstore, being cleared out at $1.50 per large 1000ml bottle. Being a wise homemaker, I took a position in the said shampoo, and am glad I did. Both myself and my long, curly-haired mane-obsessed shower-mate have become diehard fans of Revlon Outrageous Daily Beautifying Shampoo, even after no less than six months' use.
Out of the bottle
Revlon Outrageous Daily Beautifying Shampoo is thick and concentrated, and a small dab goes a long way. It lathers up thick but rinses clean (though not too clean), and has a bright, "expensive" bouquet- more of a classic, hair-salon smell, what you'd expect to smell in an uptown salon in the 1940's or 1950's. The shampoo itself is colored pearl white.
Mild and gentle on hair
Revlon Outrageous Daily Beautifying Shampoo generates good hair days, day after day. While I find that most shampoos work great for the first 2 or 3 days, until your hair "gets used" to it, Revlon Outrageous Daily Beautifying Shampoo gives you that "new shampoo" look, even after the months during which we've been using it. My hair tends toward dryness, but it's been soft and tangle-free since I began using it, even when used without conditioner.
Lasting clean smell
The perfume is mild enough that it doesn't smell much once dry, but my hair continues to smell and feel clean throughout the day and night following my morning shower. Unlike other shampoos that are either overpowering or unnoticeable, Revlon Outrageous Daily Beautifying Shampoo smells subtle and clean in dry hair.
Outrageous container
The container is a tall, plastic bottle with a huge, bulbous round flip top. In the shower, that flip top can be a pain to snap open, particularly given the smooth, round shape and absence of a grippable edge. It's also a distinctly feminine design, and I'd feel a little uncomfortable whipping out my bottle of Revlon Outrageous Daily Beautifying Shampoo in a locker room or other such testosterone-intensive locale.
Bottom line
Revlon Outrageous Daily Beautifying Shampoo is among the very best shampoos I've ever had the good fortune to use. I'm pleased with the position I took in it on sale, and only hope that it wasn't a final liquidation into which I had luckily stumbled. I love it, my shower-mate loves it, and you will too.
