| anae428's Full Review: Reza's |
What prompted me to try out Reza's restaurant for the first time was the fact that I live right next to it. I live in Oak Brook Towers, Oak Brook, Illinois, and Reza's is located in our building. A friend of mine kept boasting about the restaurant when it opened up at our residence, so I thought I'd give it a try.
My first reaction stepping into Reza's restaurant was that the atmosphere (the lavish interior design, the rich color palette on the walls and floor, and the expensive taste overall) made you feel like you were eating in Europe.
Reza's serves mediterranean, persian, & vegetarian dishes, and best of all, for a lower price than you'd think. Just to give you a pricing idea, you can get a tasteful Chicken Cesar salad with hot & fresh chicken cuts, olives, romaine lettuce, and the perfect portion of dressing, for about $7.
The foods I've tried are the chicken ceasar salad, the humus spread, the vegetarian wraps, the Turkish coffee, a few of their sweet red wines, their feta cheese, and their chicken and filets. For a dinner for two, you will probably spend about $35 including drinks and meals.
Although there are no rules for attire, I suggest dressing for a night out on the town, such as a nice pair of jeans or dress pants and an evening top, basically more than your sweats, less than a dress or suit. You get the idea.
The service here is excellent. The waiters/waitresses constantly cater to you, and it seems to be the place where you are remembered. The staff may even remember who you are and what you like to order, and the reason is because they have a reputation for constanly returning customers.
Some of the amenities offered are a bar area, a large television, a lunch buffet (~$10 per guest, all you can eat), and designated smoking/non-smoking areas. Reza's is also great at serving large groups, such as extended families and businesses. They offer large amounts of space so the atmosphere is enjoyable without feeling claustrophobic. Enjoy your dining experience!
