| nickscarano's Full Review: Riddex Plug-In Pest Repeller Unit - L1112 |
After over 20 years living in the same house, on the same block, they just did a lot of excavation work down the street. Well, along with that came some friends, bugs, lots of them. Then we heard scratching sounds in the walls, and mouse poop was everywhere in the basement, where they must have been snacking on the dog food. We do not have a cat, that would solve the mouse problem, but we have a bunch of dogs and we did not want them to get sick with using a lot of chemicals and exterminator fluids and mixes. I heard about this product from friends and family and i respect the technology and the safety, especially for our dogs, and also because I wanted to clear my home of the roaches that now moved in. All you do is plug it in, and it goes to work and gets rid of all the roaches that get around. It is so simple to set it up, anyone can do it. I read all the reviews on Epinions and other sites, and many were unfavorable, and said this product is a waste of money and effort. I also trust the opinions of people on my block that have the same problem as me and have the same crawly critters coming in, and did have results with this product. So i tried it and waited for the results. I am very happy with the end results, but it does in fact take a few days to actually work, but with patience, it will work. I guess some people did not wait for it to work and wanted instant results. For that, you have to call in the exterminator to lay down the poisons and kill the unwanted visitors outright. Plus my kids have bad allergies and sinus problems i cannot use any canned sprays and run the risk of them getting sick. I also cannot stomach the thought of roaches crawling around my house. It did nothing for the nice that were around, but some glue traps took care of that. I would never use the poison that the sell in stores, they cause the mice to get thin blood, they dehydrate and cannot clot, and they die a slow and horrible death for about 3 days. Not a good enough reason to be tortured just because they are looking for food to eat. The ones i caught i could not kill them so i had to use some vegetable oil to free them from the glue before they ate their leg off to get free, and i released them back into the site where they came from!!!!!
