This is the BEST dining experience I've ever had in my life. I don't expect it will ever be this good anywhere again. I was in the city for a convention and decided I wanted to treat a friend and myself while I was there. It was the most amazing experience. Perhaps I just don't get out enough, but wow! From the moment my friend and I were helped from the cab by the gracious doorman, til we were wished a fond farewell, the whole experience had a fairytale like quality. First of all we had 5 (count em!) yes 5 waiters to ourselves. We wanted for nothing. The atmosphere was quiet except for the lovely harp music. We were started off with bread, champagne, and an "amuse" from the chef of the best soup I've ever had in my life. Butternut squash and bacon bisque served in a tiny cup. I could die happy after eating this soup! We then moved on to lobster salad, sweetbreads, venison, a cheese course, and dessert. And even after dessert we were presented with a little plate of cakes with "Best Wishes" written in chocolate because the head waiter thought we were celebrating something special. The food was all excellent, the service was beyond reproach. Some day, I hope to stay in the hotel because I've heard nothing but good about the accommodations and the service. Best restaurant experience ever! If you love being fawned over and made to feel like a princess, then this is your place!
