Makes listening to music all the more better

The Bottom Line: I recommend to at least give it listen. It's definitely one of the top brands in the market right now.

I guess it was about two years or so ago that I decided to get some 'sound' in my car. A few friends of mine were getting there cars installed with or already had extra hook ups in their cars. The works such as subwoofers for extra bass, tweeters to tone down the bass and bring out the highs (vocal) better, 6x9 speakers, and subwoofers for extra bass. It was almost like a competition thing going between them of who had the better equipment. Me, I just wanted a little extra kick in my car.
Now, it's not too often that I've come across girls with 'sound' in their car, but I didn't care. To me, having more items hooked up to it makes it sound so much better. It does, however, depend on what brands you go with, who connects everything together, and how it's done.
At first, I didn't know what to go with, so I had a friend point me out some suggestions. I actually didn't just grab anything at first. I didn't want to make the mistake of getting something that would eventually go out on me. We took a ride to Best Buy and took a look. Almost quickly, I went with Rockford Fosgate Punch 12 inch subwoofer, two at that. Just from the sound and quality of them at the store and the advice from my friend, I had to get them.
The sound of the Punch 12's is so clean and hums very beautifully. It's not all that distorted like other brands I find. Being that I have two, it makes it so much better than just having one. The bass kicks a lot more and sounds so incredible. It's not hard to deal with, just make sure you have a big enough size amplifier (watts makes a big difference) and very important, have everything hooked up and installed correctly and properly.
The price of what I paid was a decent deal. For each, it ran about $99 each, which at the time wasn't bad. Lately, you can come across them for around $70-$80 each.
What I have at the moment with the Punch 12's is two Pioneer 6x9's, a 800 watt amplifier, and 2 6 1/2 Pioneer speakers. I'm looking into getting rid of the Pioneer 6x9's and swap to Infiniti 6x9's (4 of them) and another amplifier (smaller watts for just the 6x9's).
I drive a Saturn SL1, so I have a decent amount of space in the trunk for the subwoofers. The only thing that rattles bad on the car is the license plate on the back, which I have fixed now. Other than that, I don't have any porblems with the car itself.
Some people can't stand the loud, heavy bass sound, which I understand. I don't crank it up loud when I'm in my neighborhood. Usually when I go out with some friends, go off somewhere for the weekend, etc.
I've had friends of mine had very good luck with Rockford Punches, whether it was 10 inch, 12 inch, or even 15 inch subwoofers. They have never went out on them, blew or busted. So far, neither have I. It is very important like I mentioned to have an amplifier that has a good bit of watts, it doesn't have to be 1200 or more, but just enough to push them. Also, make sure it's connected right and properly. I've had a friend blow one due to that reason.
Also, I almost forgot, it's important to have the subwoofers in a very good, quality box. There are boxes made from wood mostly. I have a box with four small holes in front where the front of the speakers are facing, and in between that is a special piece from plexi glass. In my opinion, that makes a big difference with the sound. Don't just pick up any box, look around, or talk to someone like a friend or a salesperson at a store that sells car audio.
I'll admit, I don't know a ton about this stuff, but from what I've picked up, I have a good idea of what I have and what to go with and subwoofer wise, that's Rockford Fosgate Punch. Whether you go with 10's, 12's, 15's, it's all great choices to go with. The quality is amazing and the bass hits through so smooth, with no kind of bad distortions coming through. You can hear the highs and vocals of the songs nicely and clearly.
Overall, I find that Rockford Fosgate Punch 12's were and still are my best option to stick with. I've had no problem since I first got them almost two years ago and the sound is still incredible. The bass hits just as sweet and heavy as it did before. The price is a decent deal to go with also. Just make sure you know what you're looking at and talk to a few people first. Go to Best Buy or any other audio stores in your area, if you're looking into getting some sound, and give them a listen. You won't be sorry.
