| adamsjill's Full Review: Roger & Gallet Gentle Nature Vanilla Sap Shower Cr... |
After it got a great review in a favorite magazine, I had to try Roger & Gallet Gentle Nature Vanilla Sap Shower Cream for myself.
About Roger & Gallet Gentle Nature Vanilla Sap Shower Cream
Roger & Gallet is a French Cosmetic company that goes back to the 1800's. From what I can see of their website (www.roger-gallet.come) these days their collection is mostly bath and body products. In Canada, their products are available at Shoppers Drug Mart and The Bay and Zeller's and some other department stores.
Gentle Nature Vanilla Sap is their newest collection, and about the shower cream they say
Vanilla sap, with it's tender and comforting perfume, is known for it's soothing, softening and moisturizing properties. Enriched with aloe vera, Gentle Nature Shower Cream with vanilla sap enables the skin to intensely regenerate and nourish itself. Your skin is soft and perfectly moisturized. Apply to wet skin and gently lather, then rinse.
The cream comes in a 6.6fl oz flip-top tube that sits on it's lid so it is always ready to pour. The tube is matte plastic and a soft yellow shade with a white floral design. Very pretty and feminine. Runs for about $10.00CAD.
My experience with Roger & Gallet Gentle Nature Vanilla Sap Shower Cream
The cream itself is opaque white, and looks more like a moisturizing lotion than a shower product. It smells wonderful, has a natural vanilla scent that is not too sweet or cakey, simply fresh and warm.
A large blob on a shower pour is enough to wash the whole body. The cream does not lather thickly, but bubbles just enough to spread easily and be able to see where it has been used. It rinses clean, leaving my skin feeling not squeaky clean, but smooth and clean. Without any lotion, skin dries soft and smooth. Severely dry skin would likely need a lotion (Roger & Gallet makes a matching one, however any Vanilla scented lotion would be a good match), but my normal skin is well moisturized using this cream on its own. The scent lasts all day. Not in a cloying way, but if I sniff my arm, it is there.
A wonderfully luxurious smelling and feeling body wash. That looks as lovely in your shower as it feel on your skin.
I cannot find the ingredients online and the list is too long and complicated to type...if you REALLY must know leave me a comment and I'll update.
Thanx, Shantel, for the product addition.
