This is short and to the point. I have had this scanner for 2 years now and I have not had one problem with it. It scans beautifully at VERY HIGH resolutions at request. I use Adobe Photoshop regularly so I am very picky, but the scanner is never a problem. UMAX updates software regularly for VistaScan, so no conflicts ever occur. Once this scanner was knocked over and broke into 2 pieces, but it simply snapped back together and still works flawlessly. I have scanned literally thousands of high resolution photos on this scanner without any problems. But as with any scanner, the higher resolution you go, the slower your scanning will be!! And that is very true with this scanner. I tend to scan at about 300dpi regularly, but I have gone very high (2,000DPI) with this scanner. If you don't have a scanner, I would get this one. Great price, great quality.
