I have owned TWO Umax scanners and needless to say, they have BOTH ended up in the junk pile to go to their ultimate trash destiny.
The software was very easy to use and you can’t beat the $50 price and the rebates, but the problem is, neither scanner with stood the use I put it through. Maybe it was my problem, but the scanner I have now works wonderfully.
After a few months all of a sudden yellow lines started appearing in the photos I scanned, when the photos would scan. I got to where I could strategically place photos between the yellow lines!!!
I believe there are so many other brands out there for a comparable price that you should shop before you buy and if you do buy a Umax and have problems with it...God forbid, don’t do like I did and try another version!!!!!!!!!!!!
