Pros: Neat Gadget, Amaze your friends
Cons: Very expensive prints
The Bottom Line: Its good for what it is, a dollar a print instant printer, no different than the polaroid cameras, but it's still fun to use and takes up little room.

| usms's Full Review: Polaroid ColorShot Laser Photo Printer |
I got my ColorShot from my favorite site, www.ubid.com for the sum of $35 and shipping of about $10. If I didn't already have a bunch of polaroid film lying about I would never have bid on this printer as it uses standard polaroid film to print on.
I can't explain how this thing works, other than it seems to scan it's image onto the polaroid film and then spits out the print just like one of their cameras.
The software that comes with this camera and the drivers work well. The USB connection worked the first time and installed all the drivers for me with no problem.
You can manipulate your images a bit just before clicking print in the print software but beware if you try to zoom the shot too far out the print gets very fuzzy.
I did a couple test shots using my Olympus 2500 set at standard high resolution making a file about 550k long. The prints were accurate and this thing is very fast.
I don't know what I'm going to use it for, maybe just for fun or to print out a few extra pictures to put into Christmas cards next year. I like gadgets and this is a pretty neat one.
