Pros: Rich sound, great bass, cheap price. Pumps out good volume.

Cons: Not surround or 5.1, treble is somewhat tinny.

The Bottom Line: Buy this now, because it is soon going to be discontinued (within a year or so). You get great, loud, rich sound for a great price.

The Altec Lansing ATP3 speaker system provides very good powered sound output for an unbeatable price. This product will do very nicely for gaming and listening to MP3. These speakers sound more rich and full, in my opinion, than speakers that cost much more coming from Boston Acoustics, Yamaha, etc. They produce powerful-enough sound to fill up a large room very nicely, without hearing any thud or garbled sound. The subwoofer is massive and produces deep, clear bass without fluttering. The speakers, while small, have dual drivers and produce midrange and high-pitches nicely. I would certainly recommend buying these speakers.
