nstamper's Full Review: Hewlett Packard Jornada 540 Pocket PC
Now is a good time to have a look around for used HP Jornadas since their price has dropped substantially. This one is considered just above the line but is fine if you simply require WinCE (windows for pocket pc) as the OS for an electronic organiser with a difference. This is an understatement. You can surf the net quite adequately with it as well as download many applications and software via a desktop pc.
It makes an excellent backup for your notes and is great to take anywhere to read, play games or even doodle on (3rd part software). Games that take few mb and many that are either 'beans' or kbs in length will turn your Jornada into enough of an entertainment unit if you're on a limited budget. You can use it's Media Player, MS Word, Excel and other apps like MS Outlook to further enhance your pocket pc experience.
