Pros: Excellent multi-media/game machine for the price.
Cons: Poor sound, DVD software very buggy.
The Bottom Line: I would recommend this laptop to anyone looking for a good all around machine because it's fast, comes with a decent amount of RAM and a generous hard drive.

I bought this one as a refurb after my first (2800-S201) was broken in an accident. This model has an uglier case than the 2800 series and the sound is nowhere near as good. The WINDVD software included with the laptop was excellent unless you updated your Windows and then it became unusable. Toshiba had no work-around or answer for this so I had to purchase another brand of DVD software with less than perfect results. On the positive side, it is a fast laptop even before I added another 128MB of RAM, it plays most of my games (simulations) very well and the 15MB hard drive is a big plus!
