IHome; the Perfect Fit for Everyone
I received an iHome, version iH8, last year as a gift from my brother for my high school graduation. This was a wonderful gift for a college student because with limited space available it is practical to have one object that performs many tasks. The iHome is a useful device because it not only plays music and charges the iPod; it is also a digital clock, radio, and alarm clock.
The iPod is the modern compact version of a walkman or stereo. It is no longer necessary to carry around countless CDs and bulky stereo systems. However, I do not want to have headphones on in order to listen to music in my own home. Also, other people can not enjoy the music through one set of headphones. The iHome allows the music from an iPod to be played through speakers when it is plugged into the dock. This is why an iHome is the perfect solution to these setbacks.
The iHome saves time because it charges the iPod while it is playing music. This is convenient because there is no longer a need to waste valuable time charging it separately. This invention is a good fit for every iPod owner. The iHome contains converters for every model of iPod. This is a great adaptation because friends and family can hook their iPods to it also. Another great feature of the iHome is that it has a plug in adjustment so non-docking iPod models, mp3 players and cd players can be attached with a patch card that is included when purchasing the iHome. A Patch card is simply the object that allows the music to be converted to the iHome.
Secondly, at a reasonable cost of $100, it is worth its price. If someone were to buy a separate appliance for each of the tasks the iHome performs, they would pay more then the cost of the iHome. This machine has a remarkable large volume range for having such a small size. The quality of sound produced is also incredibly clear. This is because it has a one-piece ported speaker which minimizes the vibration that is usually produced by normal speakers. This iPod dock is compact in size. The dock’s small rectangular shape is ideal for small places. The stylish design will fit well with any interior. Also, the dock is extremely durable. I have dropped many heavy objects on it, and it is still performing seamlessly.
Aside from entertainment purposes, the iHome can be useful for everyday activities. For example, it is an alarm clock. This machine contains many settings that will appeal to all types of personalities. It offers the option of waking up to music from an iPod, the radio, or if preferred the traditional beeping sound. If desired, the alarm can be set to go off everyday which is ideal for a person with a repetitive schedule. It also gives individuals the choice of waking up gradually with the sleep feature. The iH8 allows multiple alarms to be programmed, which eliminates any chance of sleeping through the alarm. Another safety element of this product is that it comes with two back-up batteries. This takes away the risk of the alarm not going off because of a power failure.
In addition to these other features, the iHome includes a radio. This AM/FM radio receives outstanding reception, but oddly enough it does not have an old fashioned antenna. It comes with a dial that allows specific radio station to be tuned in. It also allows radio stations to be saved with just the touch of a button. It has a memory of up to twelve radio stations: eight of the stations may be FM, with the remaining four left for AM stations.
Finally the iHome comes equipped with a remote control. This handy remote is great for controlling the iPod, alarm, including the snooze adaptation, and the radio. Now there is no longer a need to get up to change a song, or stop the alarm.
Overall the iHome is the perfect example of modern technology. It offers all the advantages of older forms of musical equipment without all the money and space formerly required. Its sleek design and convenient size will please all types of consumers. It is truly a great buy because it is equipped with many useful functions that are sure to please everyone. If I did not own an iHome already, I would definitely purchase one. I am very pleased with its performance, and I love all of its convenient qualities. I have never experienced any problems with my iHome. I would surely recommend the iHome, version iH8, to all of my friends and family.
