Pros: The sound, the value, the size, the design, the features, and the (PIXEL-FREE!!!) pretty screen!!!
Cons: Colors+5GB, SAMSUNG! Never mind the Apple snobs, your SAMSUNG will not need repairs!
The Bottom Line: This thing is hardcore. I would not leave your iPlod near this little guy, it might blush after getting its ego handed back to it where the USB cable goes!

| theurbanninja's Full Review: Samsung Yepp YP-T7 (1 GB) MP3 Player |
THE SEARCH/ACQUISITION: I was looking for a sub-$150 MP# player for the library between classes, and for running. I looked at CREATIVE, SONY, iRIVER, and of course, the ubiquitous and stuck-up iPlod. I decides on this little pimp today, and when I bought this little guy today, I was shocked! Glad I got this over the SONY lame "bean" or the even lamer iPlod! This thing is T-I-N-Y! T-I-N-Y!!!!!!!!
THE PRICE: The purchase price was only $135 at Best Buy, and I am floored at how awesome this little thing is! For this price, you get so much.
INCLUDED ITEMS: The MP3 player itself, a set of bud headphones, a USB cable, a Windows Media Player CD-ROM, and a "mini" manual. Generally, headphones that come with CD/MP3 players are cheap, but the stock bud earphones are great, and have lots of bass and treble!
You have to go and download the manual online from SAMSUNG'S official site, but that is no big deal.
WHAT IS HOT: The music is full and rich. Sounds better than my coworker's 60GB iPlod Video, which sounds flat in comparison! What a waste of $500!!!
At 128kb/s, I have easily put about 275 /- on this puppy today, with a few cool pictures also. But be careful what size you chose, as they take up a lot of space before you know it.
The music transfer was simple, UNLIKE iToons. SAMSUNG is Plays For Sure, which is as simple as "drag and drop". That's it people. Even non-technophiles can get into the MP3 experience.
This thing rules. The screen is BRIGHT...the colors and moving music backgrounds are very energetic compared to the black and white lame screens I am used to.
Oh, SAMSUNG, that body! I thought I loved Korean women, now I love their MP3 players too??? The case is petite, and constructed in ALUMINUM and MAGNESIUM, so it will LAST! Unlike a certain lame white plastic, cheapo fruity competitor I won't name...
Oh, one more thing: I have Japanese music on this little thing, and Windows does not recognize the kanji, but when the "squares' are transferred over; the kanji is recognized by the MP3 player! Now how cool is that?! Little details like this make me happy I bought THIS MP3 player and not the regular SONY or iPlod...
WHAT IS NOT: I want more space...it was inevitable. I just hope they will get a flash drive developed that is 5GB, about the same size as this one, and as user-friendly...then i will really be set!
Don't laugh, but I wanted the aqua color that is on the 512MB version. Silver is just so common. At least CREATIVE offers a slew of colors...including LIME GREEN. Yeah...
At any rate, this little guy kicks MP3s and takes names! It has swallowed 4/5ths of my music collection, and I have no doubt when his bigger flash drive brother (5MB) arrives, I will acquire him also!
Your Apple "friends" will look down on you, but deep down, they all secretly want one.
Damn SAMSUNG, way to show off!!!
