I think Sansa players were improved a lot lately. I just got one at http://go.shopsansa.com . I like the players for the option to boost the capacity. I have so many songs that it’s just great to keep them at one place.

I have had no trouble using this player with my Powerbook. It shows up as a removable drive (like a flash drive), and you just drag and drop music files onto it.

Of course, from my other experiences with Sandisk players I know that just because one person's device works on a Mac doesn't mean they all will, but it's probably worth a try for the right price.

Actually,
It does run on Windows 2000. It'll show up as a removable disk. You can copy files over that way.
