We went for lunch to this Italian restaurant. It was restaurant week and the cost of the menu was $24. However during the rest of the year the cost is $29 for a special lunch menu.
The New York location at 240 Central Park South is very nice. From the restaurant we could see the trees in Central Park. The dining room was very pleasant and light. Also not noisy like in so many other restaurants.
The staff were polite.
We had the pasta (tagatieli; misspelt)_ to start which was heavenly. It was served hot unlike so many other New York restaurants that bring food luke warm. The sauce was out of this world.
For the main dish we had hen (with mashed potatoes and carrot puree) and scallops. Both were out of this world and delicious.
For desert panna cotta (heavenly) and rum baba cake which was light. Also came cookies with the coffee. We were offered refills.
We really enjoyed our lunch and we plan to go back.
