| john_ice's Full Review: Scotts Speedygreen 2000 |
I have apx. 3,000 sq. ft. of lawn in front of the house that my hand held
spreader really couldn't handle.Scotts had 2 spreaders readily available
at various local superstores.Since I really couldn't tell the difference
between the 2000 & the 3000 by looks I bought the one (2000)on sale for $16.99.Well, this spreader can do it all.Seed, fertilizer, lime, even snow melt pellets.
It is factory calibrated right out of the box,and 90% of all seed &
fertilizer manufacturers list this product on their packages. all you do
is turn the dial to the required number put in the product and GO.
The spreaders handle folds down to fit it into a tight space.
I have used this all summer and even left it outside over night with
no apparent ill effects(very rainy summer). It is all plastic requiring very low maintenance.I would not use this product on very rocky terrain,it
might not stand up to that kind of punishment. This particular spreader is
perfect for your every day lawn duty not big landscaping jobs.that would require a higher end product. Its so easy to use my 13 year old uses it
to help with chores. Be sure to hose out the spreader after every use.
