| crazyglue's Full Review: Scrabble |
Well boys and girls...its that time again. Way to many reviews on the game of Scrabble for me to add anything new. So I'm going to take what you know and poeticize (Is that a word? Look it up!) the game! Are you ready now 1,2,3 GO!
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Bored as anything,
sitting on my butt...
cold and rainy outside,
I think I'm in a rut.
The house ain't clean
who wants to do that.
Nothing on the tv
except the dumb ol' cat.
The kids are in their bedroom,
yelling at each other.
I wonder if I can find
them another mother.
Hubby's sprawled out,
all over the couch..
I don't want to wake him
he can be a big ol grouch.
But still I need to do something
to cure my restless mind...
so I venture down the hallway
opening the closet, hoping to find.
My Scrabble game
from years gone by
its made me laugh
so hard I've cried.
From silly words,
or silly fights
about who's wrong
cause I'm always right (j/k)
I searched up high
and I didn't see
The Scrabble game
that waits for me.
AHA!! I SEE IT!
the box so red....
I pull it loose,
it dumps on my head.
Grrrr
Ok ok, I'm calm again now
I put it on the kitchen table.
I need a worthy opponent though..
But who in my family is able?
Scrabble Jr I play with the kids
And my husband, I'll let him sleep.
That only leaves one person to play,
WHO? Why, that'd be me!!! :)
I can too, play by myself
I've done it many times before.
It's easy to do, I just take turns
and there's no way to cheat on the score!
Now you might think I'm crazy
but I really just don't care.
I get the game all ready...
and sit down in a chair.
I draw my seven tiles from the pile
and arrange them on my holder.
I've got a R,I,N,S,D,E,N
now I'll switch around their order.
Hmmm...Think Kathie Think..
Ohh Yeah..I think I've got a winner
I could do a plain boring word..
but for fun I'll just use Sinner.
Okay! Thats 12 points..
Time to play again.
I move around to the other side
Ohhh I wonder which Kathie will win!
I draw my tiles,
Yuck Yuck and Yuck!
I drew a C,I,S,B,U,K,F
Oh Man this really Sucks!
HEY! It works..lookie here
I can play it off the S
I lay my tiles down on the board
careful, don't make a mess.
So proud I sigh, and change my seat...
And take my very next turn.
The game keeps moving on like this..
time is of no concern.
The Q gets played, and so does the X
the hard one is the Z.
Its the Second Kathies Turn now..
What word do you think it'll be?
Scratching her nose,
She thinks and she thinks..
Nary a move
Not even a blink
And then she lays it out,
finally making her very last move.
I yelled at her~You Can't Do That
onto Santa she added ..Cruz..
Then realizing what I'd done
And I quit arguing with me.
I lowered my eyes, looked around
hoping no one else did see.
The fool I made of myself
when I started this psychobabble
about the boring life I lead
when I play myself in Scrabble.

Use Caution!
Don't try playing Scrabble by yourself. It leads people to believe you might need a room of your own at the State Hospital. ;)

Ok..For The Advisors, Editors, And Anyone Else Who Really Needs To know! ;)
Scrabble is a fun, crossword like game that twists your thinking cap inside out! Although it can be very challenging for young children and adults alike, if you altar the house rules some, its a fun game to be played by all. I mean altaring house rules in ways such as allowing names and abbreiviations.
Some Information About Scrabbles Background
Scrabble has only been around since 1948 believe it or not. And it can be found in 1 out of 3 American homes. The creator of Scrabble was Alfred M. Butts, who was an out of work architect in the Great Depression.

What's In The Box
~Game board with 225 specifically colored squares to indicate point values during game play
~98 lettered Tiles, 2 blank
~Tile Holders (4)
~Instruction Booklet
Basic Gist Of Scrabble
~At the first play, make sure all tiles are face down, and each player draws 7 tiles. Whoever is going first, plays their first word across the center of the board. After they're done, they draw enough tiles to keep 7 on their holder (i.e. You played a 4 letter word, draw 4 more tiles.)
~The object is to keep making words and try to use all your letters. If your able to use all tiles in one word, you score an extra 50 points. You have to connect your word to another persons word somehow. It can get excruciatingly hard when the board is pretty full.
~Each tile (except blank) has a specific point score listed on it (from 1-10) and you score that amount if your able to use that tile during gameplay.
~Game play continues on, with each player making words worth points. Point value is determined by scoring such as double word score or triple word score boxes marked on the gameboard. You also will double or triple that letters points by boxes marked double or triple letter score.
~When no other player can play any tiles to make a word, the game is over and points are tallied. Player with high score wins.
What I Like
I like to play the game Scrabble because its challenging. As a matter of fact I have one friend that comes over specifically to get her butt beat each and every time we play. :) There's not really much you can say to review this game, other than some people really like it.. and some think its boring. I think it depends on the individual. If you enjoy reading, crosswords, and quiet things.. I think you might like Scrabble. Then again.. I could just be sterotyping people. :) Oh well.
Things About Scrabble You Might Not Have Known
~100 million sets have been sold worldwide
~It was first called Lexiko then changed to CrissCrossWords
~It only has 4 S's to cut down on plurals & make it harder
~There are actual Scrabble leagues
~The Official Scrabble Players Dictionary rules!
