Pros: It is easy to get sheets for this bed
Cons: Very uncomfortable, pillow top is too soft, you can feel the lumBAR
The Bottom Line: I recommend that if you dont want to develop a bad back, stay far far away from this bed!! The lumbar support actually hurts your back!

We originally had an older Sealy Back Saver mattress which we loved. We went away for a weekend and out cat apparently was angry and peed on it several times. There was no way the odor would come out so we went to buy a new mattress. Our first try was one with memory foam which did not allow us to move once it conformed to our bodies. Marital relations therefore were out of the question. We decided to go and purchase the same mattress we had before and went to a store that carried the " Back Saver" line. According to the store, the line had just been changed to include a lumbar support area. When we tested it we felt somewhat of a bar but with a pillowtop it was not as noticeable. We asked the " sleep specialist" how the bed knows where each of our lumbar areas are ( my husband is 6 foot 3 and 225 pounds while i am 5 foot 7 and i am well.. much lighter)
The " sleep specialist" assured us that the area that the lumBAR covered was great enough to encompass both of our lower back areas and we ( having spent enough bed examination time) looked at each other and said ok.. well hes a sleep specialist he must be right. Since the day we brought the bed home, our backs have hurt more and more. When we go to bed it feels really comfortable, but i guess as the night wears on the back saver works very hard on making our backs stiff and achey. We have been talking about just throwing it away( as you only have one chance at returning a bed and we used that up on the memory foam one) and just looking for a comfortable one, but havent gotten around to it and arent thrilled about having thrown out about 1250 dollars on just a mattress.
Well today the decision was made for us. I accidently locked my cat in the room this morning and after three hours finally realized it.. and guess what.. he made the decision for me! New bed is needed.. no more back savers for us!
