Pros: Easy to set up and use, can combine functions from different remotes on any screen.
Cons: Limited button selection. Eats batteries quickly.
The Bottom Line: Best sub $100 universal remote I could find. "All" the buttons light up. Versatile, with a little imagination you can do it all.

| videonut's Full Review: Sima SUR-20 LCD Touchscreen Remote Control |
This remote allows you to control devices using 8 separate device screens which would lead you to believe that it's limited to only 8 devices. Well it is a learning remote which means that you can "teach" codes for any button on the original remote and have that function on one or all screens. For instance, you can have the volume buttons on any or all screen layouts control the receiver volume. So if you use your receiver for sound most of the time you can control it's volume with the VCR screen or the DVD screen etc. The macro functions allow my wife to select satellite and push the one Power button on that screen to turn on the TV, set it the correct input and also do the same on the receiver. So she gets the TV and stereo system fired up and operating with one button. Turning it off uses the same button. As for the lack of button names that match the original remote, you can place a button on a screen that has no name, you just need to remember what it does. I use this feature for the "Clear" and "Enter" buttons on my satellite receiver and VCR screens as well as other functions. This unit isn't the most powerful universal remote in the world but for less than $100 it lights up in the dark and lets you perform all the most used functions for most systems. I control an RCA HDTV with it's built-in DVD player, a Toshiba DVD player, a Panasonic DVD player, a JVC VCR, a Hughes DirecTV receiver, and an Onkyo Dolby Digital Receiver all with this remote. There are few occasions when I need to bring out the original remote to perform some function not on this one but they are not the things I do on a daily basis and I left some out on purpose (the wife gets confused with too many buttons). I like this thing so much I want one in the family room and another in the bedroom. Once you start setting it up you will learn to make quick changes to screen layouts and functions making it easier to control your system, your imagination is the only true limit. This thing does however run the batteries down quickly, probably due to the light but I wouldn't trade it. I tried several different ones including a more expensive Sima before I decided on this one and it is the most versatile for the money.
