Pros: easy to build;
good price (comparatively);
no electricity required;
easy to tell its on
Cons: unproven manufacturer;
gotta pay for LP every 3 weeks;
supplied tools are worthless
The Bottom Line: Looks to be a decent buy
UPDATE: 3 days into my test and I am pretty happy with this.

| ncusa28210's Full Review: SkeeterVac |
Bought this unit form WALMART.COM ($389)after researching these on the web. The SkeeterVac looks like a good alternative to the Mosquito Magnet brand and the obviously inferior Coleman product. The beauty of the Wal-mart site is that you can return anything you buy there to an actual store for a full refund. That was MUCH better than some of the return terms (15% restocking charge, etc.)I saw at some of the lesser-known sites.
I put this unit together in 20 minutes. The tools supplied are basically junk, but they get the job done. I used during a BBQ last night and I have to say that we were bitten much less than we were we eating out in the exact same location over the 4th of July.
I checked the trap this morning and saw maybe 3 dozens mosqitos and a dozen small biting insects too. As the day wore on, I saw fewer new catches. However, I expect to see more tomorrow morning when i check it again. It is still too early to say for sure, but so far it appears to be working.
*****UPDATE*****
I went out this morning and checked the machine. The results were about the same as yesterday morning. 3 dozen misquitos and a dozen or so smaller biting insects too. For those who have e-mailed me about what this thing actually looks like/does. You can use the following link.

I am maintaining my rating on this product and will update this review at a later date.
********NEW UPDATE***********
We had several heavy thunderstorms last night. I was curious to see if the unit would continue to operate (stay lit)during a deluge. Good news! The unit stayed on and continued to catch mosquitoes through the rain last night. Again, check this link out (below) if you want to see more detail about this machine.
