I can't believe that winter is already upon us, again! I hate cold weather! I love to run! But, I just can't handle running outdoors during freezing weather! So, for my birthday this year (which falls in October), I begged and pleaded with my wife to get me a new treadmill! And, amazingly, she surprised me with the Smooth 9.2 Treadmill a week before my birthday!
My wife did a bit of networking to try to find what she believed would be the right treadmill for me! And, somehow, she decided upon the purchase of my Smooth 9.2! I don't care how she came to her decision! She made an excellent choice, I think! I have truly enjoyed using my new treadmill for the past several weeks! And, I've especially been thankful for it on those bitterly cold days!
Some features of the Smooth 9.2 Treadmill that I appreciate are its direct speed bar (this allows for one-touch speed and incline control without ever taking my hands off the handrails!...so easy to change my speed and incline, even while I'm in the middle of my workout!), a large LED display (that makes it easy to read the program selections and to see how much distance I've covered during workouts), and its 3.0 HP Continuous Duty Motor, which comes with a 10 year warranty! The Smooth 9.2 is equipped with 4 preset programs, 8 custom programs, and 2 user programs. It has a nice-sized running surface (20" x 56"). It's built strong and sturdy enough to support a 400 pound man! (And, NO! I'm not quite that large!) My wife was also thoughtful enough to purchase the optional aeropedic belt with its extra thick cushioning to give me a low-impact workout! You can also choose an optional heart rate control with a one-touch EKG readout...Mine doesn't have the heart rate control, however.
Other warranties on the Smooth 9.2 include a 5-year belt warranty, a 3-year warranty on electronics, and a one-year in-home labor warranty, as well as a lifetime frame warranty!
The Smooth 9.2 Treadmill, in my opinion, is worth every penny of its cost! Although I haven't had mine very long, I've gotten quite acquainted with it and find it to be a comfortable, sturdy, and enjoyable piece of equipment! I would recommend this treadmill...even to my best friend! The one negative about the treadmill purchase is that indoor delivery costs extra (delivery to your home is included in the price).
