I love having a cell phone. I'm always available if my son's preschool should call, or if the babysitter needs me - no leaving several numbers of places I'll be at! My husband can reach me any time for even the most trivial things, and my friends can call when they're on the way over to my house if they get lost. I couldn't live without this great tool.
My first cell phone was my dad's cast off about 10 years ago. It was one of those huge "bag" phones (remember those?) that you had to lug around. Technology has come a long way since then! I now have the Ericsson LX 588. It has a flip which is my favorite feature that I love because when it's in my purse it won't accidentally dial itself. I have actually had that happen, and when my cell bill came in, was I surprised! It comes in blue (it's the upgrade from the LX 788 which was black), and has so many features I'm still learning them all.
You can change the sound, intensity, pitch and pattern of the ring. The speaker and ear piece volume is adjustable. It can store TONS of phone numbers (I have 43 stored and still have about 40% memory free) so you don't need to remember everyone's various numbers. You can adjust the greeting message, contrast, and backlight. There's a security code you can engage so there is no unauthorized use, and a keypad lock for the same reason. You can even choose to have the phone vibrate, ring, or do both to signify an incoming call!
The services I can use on this phone are numerous, too. I've got voicemail, caller id, call forwarding, text messaging, and a time stamp.
This is a great cell phone for those on the go a lot. It's easy to use, has clear reception, and lots of features to customize just for you!
