acidbraker's Full Review: Sony Network Walkman NW-E107 (1 GB) MP3 Player
As of writing this I have only had my sony for a few days. Audio quality is good and its small size and weight are just great. I bike to work everyday so it starts in my pack then I just hang it around my neck once I'm there. Oh yea, they don't mention that anywhere. It does have a lanyard loop right behind the headphone jack if your looking at the faceplate. It has a lot of features for its small size. The buttons are pretty small but I only use the rocking faceplate 99% of the time so it doesn't matter. The color of the backlight is a blueish indigo. I find the display plenty big enough to get the info I need. It's amazing how small a package the gig of space, the battery and the features all fit into. Sonic Stage works for me. I'm not a geek but I understand everyone's complaints about the program. It is a little slow but it does what its supposed to. I prefer to convert all my files to atrac3plus when I put them on the player so the process takes a while. I just find all the music I want to transfer, then plug it in, convert and transfer, and off to bed. When I wake up its all set. I'm pretty glad I went with sony on this one. I like the atrac3plus format because it really gets the file size down.
I bought the armband with the rubberish case and found that I really don't use it. I don't run or jog and its still summer so I'm not at the gym yet. But the case slides off the band so you can wrap the mp3 player in a protective custom fit rubber shell, then whenever you need you can just slap it back on the band. Nice.
If you don't live in front of your computer and you want lots of music for a long time than this is the way to go. Don't worry about sonic stage, its not that bad.
