Pros: Screen size, construction of laptop, built in features and software pack
Cons: Very low battery life, too small of a hardrive to claim video capabilities
The Bottom Line: Sony makes great products and this is just another one of them. I own all sony products after shopping around with other brands. I would definitely recommend anything sony.

Although the battery life is very poor in my opinion (and everyone else) this is a great laptop for personal use. It plays DVD's great on full screen with terrific quality. I bought this as a gift for my girlfriend for x-mas and had a hard time letting her use it, I got attached to it quickly. She uses it everyday to surf the internet, play a few games and organize music on her MP3 player. The only problem we had with it was when actually using it on your "laptop" was the temperature. We got a "coolpad" to raise it up and that helped a lot. I also replaced the hardrive to a larger one and this has helped a bunch too. Overall I would recommend this to anyone who does not have to rely on battery power when using for more than 20 mins. or so. If you do get the extra battery and that will help some. I also bought a CD-RW drive for it after owning it a year and having her bug me to make cd's all the time. So I would definitely buy something with more to it if I did it all over.
