This Sony has been a huge headache. Here are my main concerns:
-Cost of an extra battery seems to be higher than for most other brands
-Power plug port in back of notebook itself is loose and would cost $125 at LEAST to fix
-I've been unimpressed with what I've heard from others about Sony notebook computer battery life, performance, and apparently I'm not the only one to have had this issue with the battery plug port
-It's fat (thick), cumbersome and weighs too much
I've heard negative things about Sony hardware and battery life from other Sony owners, and friends who are in the computer industry.
I'm EXTREMELY happy with my new Acer TravelMate 800XCi, which has double the RAM, a 30G hard drive, and a Centrino processor. Until Sony can start making products with quality to match the overpricing, I'm going to bag on their products to as many people as possible. DON'T BOTHER BUYING SONY NOTEBOOK COMPUTERS!!! It's like paying for a Mercedes and getting a Yugo!
