| tina_synergy's Full Review: Stamina Products Recumbent Air Bike with Tension B... |
Myself and my husband bought the Stamina 4655 Recumbent Air Bike less than a year ago. Biweekly, I spend at least one undistracted hour on it while I watch a movie. Throughout the rest of the week I'm on the bike approximately 20 minutes per day. My husband doesn't really use it.
Was this too much activity for the bike? Perhaps, because after about 9 months the tension was loose. I didn't realize thats what was wrong. I thought my leg-strength had increased. It was so gradual that I really didn't suspect that the tension belt had broken. Then one day, it was so loose I sheepishly mentioned it to my husband who thought me so amusing as to think all this time that I had outgrown the bike.
Nevertheless, I was disappointed that this happened. We opened the bike and found a portion of the tension belt shredded where it eventually broke. Could my 5'6" and fluctuation 120LBs frame have ravaged it so? No, it was the quality. But admittedly, the price was the cheapest around, $99.00 from Walmart. I expect to replace the tension belt soon. I'd really like to hear from anyone who knows how I can get one. tina_synergy@yahoo.com
Assembly and general usage has been good. Its comfortable and suitable for long sitting as would be expected of any recumbent bike. It fits snugly in a small area of our semi-casual living room. No disappointments except for the tension belt.
