Pros: great looks, blue leds, key lock feature
Cons: crappy platter, on/off switch location, sucks for mixing.
The Bottom Line: looks good but pure junk, the platter is tinny and resonates like hell and it's drive is unpredictable, almost impossiable to beat mix.

| dj_chex's Full Review: Stanton STR8-100 Turntable |
I bought this used for $150 at guitar center a few months ago. My first impressions were good, solid torque, array of features, nice brushed alloy finish. After using this for a while i cannot seem to beat mix w/ this table. Honestly i felt as though i really have not practiced in years. Through all of this misfortune last night i did a practice set w/ this and a sl-1200m3d, the 1200 playing "timo maas Help Me" while trying to cue up the same dub on the stanton table i noted the strobe dots while slowing down the platter where fluttering from slow to fast. Instead of it slowing down gradually it shot around unstabily and upon releasing it would speed past it's 45 rpm mark making it get off beat. I feel somewhat releaved that my mixing was not causing this falt but this piece of crap turntable. DO NOT BUY!!!
