Pros: The Highlighter does the Job it is Supposed to Do
Cons: None that I have found
The Bottom Line: The Staples Highlighter Marker works perfectly and I found no flaws. It is a must if you are obsessed with highlighters & office supplies as much as I am.

Do you remember back in high school or college that one friend that loved the highlighter? They would highlight so much in their text book that it made you wonder, "why not just highlight the whole page since you practically have anyways? I had a few friends like that and the one closest to me was myself. I just loved highlighting things.
I think this all stems with my obsession and I do mean a major fixation on Office Supplies. It is a disease and when I walk into an Office Max, that is what I call HEAVEN. My fiancé may have his walk-in humidor but I have office supplies for my passion. I probably buy a 5 subject notebook nearly once or twice a month, and I am not attending school, so there isnt a real need for this. I buy all the newest pens that catch my eye, when we can afford them, just to try them out. So this obsession of mine started way back in middle school which is where my compulsiveness probably started with perfectionism as well.
So what I am trying to explain to you here is that I know my office supplies and I feel I am quite the expert as to what works and what doesnt. I may not write many reviews on them but that is just because, as I said in my BIC article, most of them come down to they either work or they suck and there isnt an between. You are either very pleased with them or you just wasted your money on something like, BIC Wite Out Extra Coverage. Well I believe this same concept comes to highlighters.
Now I found myself at Staples one day carefully checking out each isle as to any new items that may have come in that I had to have. I am serious folks, I would spend anywhere from $100.00 a month just on office supplies and I dont work out of the home or really need them. I just have to have them. So I found myself in the highlighter section and there was a little sale going on. Well being the savvy bargain shopper that I am, I decided to pick up the Staples Highlighting Marker. As I am doing this, my fiancé looks over at me and asks, So what exactly are you planning on highlighting that you need to buy those? Last time I checked you were out of college. Well he just cant appreciate a true obsessive compulsive office supply buyer when he sees one!
So I took all my goodies home and started to play like as I had just discovered the sandbox in the playground back when I was about four. I seized the Staples Highlighting Marker, which came in a package of two at that time. By the way I had paid $3.00 for them on sale as well. I started to find something that I could highlight, I didnt just want to waste good highlighting here. So I sought out a self-help book I was reading and began a chapter of highlighting. I should have stopped because if you go back and look at those pages you would think I was nuts. I practically highlighted the whole chapter!
There are no directions on the Staples Highlighter Marker, which honestly I dont think there needs to be. Everyone realizes at some point in school whether as a child or in high school that the highlighter was a writing tool that highlighted things and how to use it, just like any other writing instrument. Like I have pointed out before, it is almost like some of the ridiculous directions that I find on some of my beauty products. For example, put a small amount body wash on a loofa, lather up, and wash your body as needed (the as needed part really gets to me). DUH! Of course that is what you do. I wasnt planning on drinking the stuff. Sometimes I just think the average human being out there is treated as if we need Extra Help or something.
The Staples Highlighter Marker works great and STILL works great. It hasnt lost its touch as I have seen other products do after several uses. Then again, I am the one who highlights much more than the average consumer. I am very pleased with the way it performs. It has an angled tip so that you may highlight on a thick basis for large fonts or use the tip to just highlight a small font as well. It does not put off any odor either. If you were to get accidental and get in on your hands, it washes off easily. So when it comes to my standard concept behind office products, The Staples Highlighter Marker works the way it is supposed and has a long shelf life.
When you buy these products with their fancy colors and what not out there, just remember that Highlighters started off yellow and that is the color that it should have remained. Have you tried to read something that has been highlighted in purple? It doesnt work very well, at least not for me. I think that this particular highlighter only comes in yellow, at least it did when I bought it, but they could have every color in the rainbow by now!
As for the Staples Highlighter Marker, well it does the job, doesnt cost that much and is well worth shelling out the extra dollar for.
Enjoy your highlighting and any other cool office supplies that you have
Until Next Time,
