Glad to see you're back. You were one of the first people on Epinions to trust me, and I thought you gave the site up once you went to Stanford. Good to read something from you again!

hope you're doing well... thanks for the visit.

Stumbling Through... (Reply to this comment)

Don't ask me why, but every now and again, I jump on here and have a look round. Much to my surprise, who should be manning the aft and deck, but my old soul-brother. Land Ho!

Hope things are going well down in Whackoland. Slap a couple of liberals for me.

With bemused regards,

DrJ

P.S. Nice review.

Dear Ben: Sorry to be so long catching up with your formal return. This CL thing is tremendously consuming of time.

I agree with your assessment of Lucas, but I am sorry to see you give this film five stars. It is the fruit of Lucas, a techno-talented huckster, who bears considerable responsibility for turning Hollywood back toward triviality, propaganda, and product advertising.

What is there left to sell in America? We are in the process of trivializing and selling our Constitutional rights at the moment. What else is there but our souls?

Your reviews remain very welcome.

thank you very much.

i think most people are agreed on the technical details here of what is good and bad, the disagreement comes regarding the "soul" of the movie.

but thanks for reading

Although I don't agree with your ultimate conclusion - I thought Clones sucked, your review lays out clearly what Lucas does right and what he does terribly wrong.

Most people don't realize he handed over the reins to others for Empire and Jedi. It's too bad that he decided to let his ego run wild and direct the last two.

Great review.

Can it really be you?

So great to see a new post from you!

Just saw the movie this weekend in a digital projection theater. A visual feast.

Thanks for dropping by. Grad school has really sucked out all the fun of sitting in front of a computer and composing for any length of time. But I am enjoying it out in California.

hopefully, as my first year comes to an end, i should have time this summer to get back in the swing of epinions.

everytime i have dropped by in the past year, and read a couple reviews, I am always tempted to get adicted again. we'll see!

It's good to see you back again! I wondered what happened to you. You haven't submitted an epinion in a long, long time.

Great review, too!
