Pros: No burner to scorch your coffee, removable water reservoir, and just plain good looks.
Cons: After three years, I can't find a single one.
The Bottom Line: As a Starbucks Barista, I know all the good things and the bad things about their machines. I own this one and love everything about it.

| vdub6273's Full Review: Starbucks Starbucks Aroma Thermal Brewer |
I have used my Aroma at least once a day now for the past three years. I purchased this machine for around $90, and it was worth every penny. I have found one trick to making the coffee stay hot for five hours like they tell you it will in the stores. The trick is to take the carafe out of the machine after it has finished brewing, because the vacuum button on top is pushed down slightly while it is in the machine to allow the coffee to enter the carafe. So by pulling the carafe out of the machine, you allow it to have the tightest seal possible. This machine brews at 210 degrees and will stay plenty hot for quite a while if you follow the steps I suggested. One great feature to this machine is the fact that you can pull out that fancy carafe and place it directly on you table for breakfast or entertaining or put it next to you when you sleep. Well, I guess it just depends on how much you like you coffee.
Other features include:
-Programmable brew time
-Removable water reservoir
-Removable coffee filter basket
-Colors in white or black
-An indicator on the side of the reservoir for number of cups
-These new machines come with a pack of coffee filters, and a two year warranty (and these people stand behind their machines.)
-If you purchase it at the right time you might even get a free half pound of coffee.
I just love my Aroma and would suggest it to anyone looking for a new coffee maker. They are about 17" tall, but if you really want a good coffee maker I'm sure you can take a saw to your kitchen cabinets. I didn't just write this epinion because I'm a Starbucks Barista myself. I do own this machine and have had no problems at all in the last three years. If for some reason there is a problem with any starbucks machine, I know from personal experience that Starbucks Warranty Services will take care of you (These guys are great)!
