braedyn's Full Review: Stash Tea Super Irish Breakfast 20ct.
I was never a tea or coffee drinker. For years, I stuck to orange juice or milk in the mornings. Then, I went to Ireland and stayed at a lovely Bed & Breakfast outside Limerick where I was fed a Fry Up (full Irish breakfast) complete with a cuppa black tea. I didn't want to be rude and as it was quite cold out (what with it being Ireland and all), so I did the unthinkable - I actually sipped at tea. And it was oh so good! Ever since, I've been hooked on black teas but I keep coming back to my true favourite - Irish Breakfast.
It is a black tea (aka crimson tea) and is therefore quite rich in flavour and contains more caffeine than its lighter counterpart - green tea. Black tea still has antioxident benefits and has been proven to help prevent cardiovascular disease. An unexpected added benefit of black tea is that it lasts much longer in the cupboard than green tea - up to several years without losing its flavour.
If you're familiar with English Breakfast tea you are probably asking yourself how exactly Irish Breakfast is different. Irish Breakfast has a slightly less sweet taste and is a bit "lighter" in flavour, not quite as heavy and rich. It does, however, share English Breakfast's smooth, deep texture and pungent aroma. Drinking a cup of Irish Breakfast is like drinking a warm, sensual rainstorm, allowing the smooth flavour of the Irish hills soothe your throat. Irish Breakfast is the perfect choice for a rainy day, a stay-at-home-illness day, a wake up call for morning, or just to share laughs with friends. It's light texture and flavour allow it to be a perfect companion to light biscuits or scones.
My personal favourite way to take the tea if I'm drinking alone is to leave the tea bag in the cup until I've finished it all. I add a few sprinkles of sugar to take the edge off, drink, and once I'm ready for a refill, I simply leave the tea bag in and pour more hot water over it. This lasts for usually a good two cups full as I prefer my tea quite strong.
However you enjoy your tea, Irish Breakfast will soothe, encourage, and energise you. As long as you have Stash Irish Breakfast, nothing can upset you!
