I have been dying to get new pots and pans for years now. I finally made the move and did it. I bought the T-Fal Ingenio Cookware Set and I am in heaven. Whoever came up with this fantastic technology deserves a big smack a roo from me.
I bought the 20 piece set at our Navy Exchange. It was on sale for $59.99. This is a great deal. The set includes the following:
1). 8" Fry Pan
2). 1 Quart Sauce Pan
3). 2 Quart Sauce Pan
4). 3 Quart Wok
5). 3.6 Quart deep saute pan
6). 8 Quart Dutch Oven (stock pot)
7). 3 Universal Lids (small,medium,large)
8). 4 Clear Storage Covers
9). 3 Detachable Handles
10). 3 Piece Plastic Utensil Set
11). A Recipe Book
TheT-Fal Ingenio Cookware Set is truly a delight to have. The features are incredible. The following is a list of features that I find to be remarkable.
1). Detachable Handles- The set comes with three detachable handles. They are easy to snap into place and once you get used to them they are easy to get off. They make them tough to release for safety reasons.
2). Lids- The lids are universal. The set came with three. 2 of the three lids are used for the frying and saute pans. The other lid has vents on it. This lid also has a built in strainer. Who needs to look for a colander now. It is built in. The lids also stand on their sides while you stir your food.
3). Heat Evenly- The T-Fal Ingenio Cookware Set has even heat distribution.
4). Non Stick- These non stick pans are easy to clean. All you need is soap and water and wah lah you are done.
5). Cook, Bake, Store- These pans can be used to cook on the stove, bake in the oven, or store in the fridge.
6). Easy Storage- Even if you have the smallest space in your kitchen, you can store the T-Fal Ingenio Cookware Set. I keep the detachable handles and utensils in one drawer. The pans all fit compact. Use the dutch oven and the just stack the other pots in. It all fits so compact.
I am going to include some tips to keep your T-Fal Ingenio Cookware Set in great condition.
1).Dishwasher- Though these pans are dishwasher safe, it is recommended to clean them by hand. If you use your dishwasher the enamel may wear and make your pans dull.
2).Season your Pans- It is recommended before using your pans for the first time to take a paper towel and lightly rub oil on the insides of the pans.
3).Avoid Temperature Variations- Let the pans cool before cleaning. Allow the pans which are stored in the refrigerator to heat up slowly. This will avoid any melting or bending that could occur to the pans.
4).Plastic Utensils Only- Do not use metal in these pans at all. They can damage the non-stick surface. Who wants teflon in their food, not me.
5).Warning before baking- Do not bake with the handles attached.
6). Remove Plastic Covers- Before reheating food that you have stored, remove the plastic covers. This is important to remember. You will ruin the lids and you can cause a fire.
7).Let Pans Cool- Before cleaning, let the pans cool.
I can not say enough about the T-Fal Ingenio Cookware Set. Check them out. They will make cooking more pleasurable. Move on over Emeril, there is a new chef in town.
