Pros: Little hands can easily grasp. Excellent sensory learning; focusing on smell, texture and sound.
Cons: $$$$$$$$$$$EXPENSIVE$$$$$$$$$$$
The Bottom Line: I recommend the Tangiball. It's durable, fun, and piques the senses. It is expensive. If there are cheaper knock-offs, I'm sure they would serve the same purpose.

| ValerieG's Full Review: Tangiball |
We received this ball as a gift when my second child was born. We loved the vanilla smell, and the squeak. My son loved that he could teeth on the nubs, and easily grasp the ball. It immediately became a favored toy.
The Tangiball is made of a thick, transparent blue rubber. There are rubber nubs that stick out all over it. An air hole at the top of the ball causes it to squeak when squeezed. All in all, it's a fun introduction to the world of balls.
There are many senses involved in playing with this ball. Both of my sons have teethed on the nubs. The vanilla smell is faint, yet it lasts for a long time. The rubber is squeezable and soft. The nubs also allow for touch-sensory perception. The squeaking sound is fun for young ears.
Our whole family will get into a circle and roll this ball to each other. It involves the entire family in play, which is always a positive. It's fun to watch the ball "bounce" on the nubs. If you bounce it hard enough, it will squeak. We often end up rolling on the floor in gales of laughter when playing with this ball.
