We purchased a Tempur 25cm Tempur solution from Furniture Village last year (May 08).
We bought the 25cm mattress and the champagne bedsted. Delivery was prompt and it took approx. 2 days to get used to the mattress.
Once you are comfortable and used to the bed you will appreciate hwo important a good nights sleep is. It is amazing. We no longer wake up in pain, have a good nights sleep and suffer less back pain.
I have been diagnosed with herniated disc (slipped) in my lower back. Struggled for months. Every since we have had this bed my back pain has been limited and is getting better!
Best investment we have ever made.
We paid £2500 for it and deliver was in 1 week. If you have a medically diagnosed back problem and your doctor can verify this, then you can get VAT back dirctly from Tempur. This takes about 3-4 weeks.
Tempur specialise in mattresses and not the bedsted, so don't expect miracles for your £2500! Its simple, looks ok'ish and matches the mattress (which is always covered!)
The biggest issue that we face is not sleeping on the bed! If we go away from home we seriously notice the absence of the support we get from the mattress.
I think it is one of the best invesments that we have ever made! (My wife will agree).
