Pros: it's pretty, did exfoliate better than normal bath pouf
Cons: only available in white; costs more; wears out quicker
The Bottom Line: This is a new spin on the bath pouf which is fancier and does exfoliate better. However, it also costs a little more and tends to wear out quicker.

Ive used a bath pouf for years. Using one makes replacing a bar soap with a shower gel or cream very easy. Those who use bath poufs know they do wear out and every year or so you have to purchase a new one as the old one starts to come apart at the seams. The last time I went to replace mine I ended up with something from The Body Shop that put a new twist on the bath pouf - The Body Shops White Organza Body Glosser.
About the product
The Body Shop calls their bath poufs body glossers and bath lilies. Their White Organza Body Glosser is priced $1 higher than their traditional bath lilys going selling for $5.50.
The Body Shops White Organza Body Glosser is available only in white year round (there is a limited edition Cranberry available for the Holidays) while their Bath Lilys are available in many colors. The two are roughly the same size though the Organza Body Glosser may be slightly larger.
The main difference and the one thing that makes The Body Shops White Organza Body Glosser unique is that the netting is covered in white organza and instead of string it has a ribbon with The Body Shop on it to hang it up after each use.
Here is what The Body Shop has to say about this product: A gently exfoliating bath lily that increases the lather of your fragranced shower gel and removes dead skin cells. Particularly good for use on dry skin that needs to be exfoliated regularly. -- taken from www.thebodyshop.com
My Take
I ordered The Body Shops White Organza Body Glosser online so when it arrived I was a little surprised at how it looked and felt. It was like a body pouf for a wedding and I was not sure how it would feel or work out in the shower. It did take about a week for me to get used to the texture. At first it felt kind of rough on my skin which is not a feeling Id experienced in the past with traditional bath poufs; that feeling did quickly pass.
I do have dry skin and The Body Shops White Organza Body Glosser does seem to exfoliate my skin better than a traditional bath pouf does. I suppose the organza helps in that aspect. It also only takes a small amount of product to product a lot of lather though Ive found that is generally the case with all bath poufs.
The Body Shops White Organza Body Glosser is no different from any other bath pouf; however in that it does wear out. Usually I end up needing a bath pouf replacement about once a year yet I only purchased The Body Shops White Organza Body Glosser in May and already I need a replacement. I do use it daily. Im not sure if the organza around the netting just doesnt hold up as well or what.
And so
Over all I really like The Body Shops White Organza Body Glosser and did find it did a better job exfoliating my skin than the traditional bath pouf. That said, I do feel the price is a little hefty because you can usually find these bath accessories priced for $1 at Target (minus the organza) though in saying that I have to add that The Body Shops are a better quality, last longer and are bigger. I already have a replacement ready to go but this time I stuck with The Body Shops regular Bath Lily as I have found they tend to last a good year (at least) while White Organza Body Glosser only made it 7 months before looking pitiful and torn apart.
