| chicrepeats's Full Review: The Firm Fanny Lifter FAN1 |
I had watched the infomercials about this for the longest time. Then on an e-mail list someone asked the question I had been wondering: "Was this thing worth it?" Many people answered back saying that it was but to not buy it from the infomercial. Two people said they got charged multiple times and had to follow up multiple times to get that charge off their credit card.
However, I bought mine from QVC, got an extra video that I wasn't crazy about, but the three main videos I have enjoyed.
The height of the steps is what makes the difference and it took me a couple of workouts to be able to use weights. Stepping up and down off of its full height is WORK. It's a big range of motion similar to a leg press machine at the gym. Whenever I've seen a butt/thigh workout in a magazine, one of the moves seems to include holding weights and stepping up onto a weight bench - pretty high.
The fanny lifter's two pieces fit together well and while I hate to see it happen, my four year old launches herself off of it onto the couch and they do not separate.
I started noticing a difference after a couple of weeks and I just need to get more consistent and disciplined. I have faith that I will get results I want after seeing what happens when you go 80% of what is recommended (frequency, diet).
I tell everyone to try it out. You can find it at Target, Ebay, QVC, and lots of other places I am sure. Don't think about the cost of the fanny lifter - that's what makes it all work!
As for the cost, I personally didn't think it was too expensive for the lifter and 4 videos. Some people have said that they tried using a Kitchenaid step or stool and bought the videos elsewhere and it was fine with them. But really, if you think that $60 or 70 is too much to spend on tapes and a plastic stool, you might try to find one used on ebay.
