I am reviewing a Big Kazoo a larger model than the Blue Kazoo, but is similar. I bought this model due to its size, 37" x 90", and is perfect for me. I am about 230lbs and 6'2" and finding a bag large enough is tough. However, this bag has drawbacks.
The zipper snagging is very disturbing especially during cold weather. It does so for the entire length of the bag since there was no anti-snagging tape installed at the factory. Check to see if the newer models have added anti-snag tape (mine is 1997) And the bag has the continuous baffle design that allows one to shake the down from either the top of the bag to the bottom during warmer weather or to the top during colder weather. This sounds great, but it doesn't do so in a consistent fashion evidenced by numerous cold spots caused by voids in the down layer. Also, if you are going into rather remote areas, as I do for 8-10 days, make sure you have an escape plan in the back of your head since down bags can be dangerous in certain situations. I have been more than 2 times been on a forced march out of the Wind River mountains, the Flatheads and the Beartooths when autumn weather turned bad and my down bag deflated with little optimism for a drier weather change soon.
I am now purchasing a Polarguard 3D bag that meets my size expectations (I hope) from a new company out of Steamboat Springs, Big Agnes (Altrec handles them). I have had too many close calls with down in the back country.
The bag is overpriced for something manufactured in China!
