Overall Quality:  
Pros: Padded well enough that my feet did not get blistered.

Cons: Not meant for guys with bigger feet.

The Bottom Line: Worked well enough stretched out that I would give them two thumbs up for women to wear.

Why I Used

I borrowed these socks from my girlfriend since I did not have any good socks with me and have prior experience with Thorlo sox. These socks help your feet stay dry in the heat.

Usefulness

They have plenty of comfort in the aspect of shock absorbency because they maintain the cushioning unlike your general Hanes or Fruit of Loom socks that just are almost paper thin. Plus the comfort in keeping your feet dry from taking away the perspiration from your feet. As well as the comfort that you get from having dry feet. I have also found them useful for wearing as everyday socks to keep your feet dry even while at home or working in the office or while engaged in exercise intensive routines where a lot of moisture can build up in the wearing of normal socks.

Durability

These socks will last you for years to come as long as you keep yours shoes properly tied and toenails reasonable length; meaning that you feet are not loose in the boots rubbing against the heel portion and your toenails are at normal length so they do not essentially cut through the sock itself. Another thing that is important is proper washing and drying to extend life of the socks.

Washing Directions

Use mild soap and chlorine free bleach so that you do not cause the sock to fall apart. It is important to use liquid fabric softner to prevent hydrolysis

Drying Directions

I usually place them on cycle of tumble dry low or hang dry them since high heat is not needed since they are made of wool even though it may take a little longer. High heat in the long run can make the socks uncomfortable.

Times to be used

They are perfect for running or hiking or working or day around the house.

Product Abstract

The product is designed for running in moderate to hot weather on varied to rugged terrain. Lightweight padding in the heel and ball protect the foot from shear force and impact forces and helps to prevent painful blisters from repetitive rubbing. Lace pad protects the top of foot against boot lace pressure. Spandex and low density padding in he arch create a snug fit. Ventilation panel to improve fit and wicking.
