Great for spring and summer weather
The Tiger Paws tire is what shipped with your GMC Jimmy. The tires are all round good tires and they last forever. We have 116,900 mile on the Jimmy and this is only the second set of tires.
The tire perform nicely on the road, whether it is dry or wet. There is hardly any tire noise when you are going down the road. The tires do a nice job of gripping the road under most conditions. The tread is not too agressive, so the tire does not throw rocks as bad as the FireStone Wilderness AT's.
They should rename them to Slick Paws
If you just do driving in the spring/summer/fall you should be ok. But if you do a lot of winter driving or not on a paved road you will have troubles with the tires.
The tread just does not have the traction to get you threw the snow and mud that you may encounter. In most cases this would not be much of a problem, but I live in Indiana and the winters can get bad around here and I found that the tires did not do the greatest job. They will get you threw the snow if you are already moving, but if you stop and try to move, the tire just don't have enough grip. Oh, as a side note, I got stuck in my own yard moving a boat of the barn.
Overall...
The tire is great for most road conditions. The great selling point is how long the tire last. I have put over 60,000 miles on them amd they still had some tread on them. They are a good tire, just don't have traction for snow or mud.
